BSkyB, the entertainment and communications business present in more than one in three homes in the UK, has published its 2009 Bigger Picture Review at www.thebiggerpicturereview2009.com The review gives an overview of the responsibility activities that Sky has undertaken over the last financial year, and the contribution it has made to communities across the UK. This year’s report is available online only, and its scope has been expanded from previous years to cover the way Sky addresses responsibility issues throughout its core operations, including through its programming, the way it manages its relationship with customers, and in the supply chain. As in previous years, it also covers Sky’s approach to looking after its people, and the contribution that Sky makes through its environment, sport and arts initiatives. The report is engaging and easy to navigate, and includes videos that help bring the issues to life. Jeremy Darroch, Chief Executive at Sky says: ‘At Sky, we know that making a positive contribution to UK life is a vital component of long-term, sustainable business success. Customers, employees and partners all need to trust that we are doing the right thing by them in our day to day business. Increasingly, they also expect us to contribute more broadly. So, as well as taking our responsibilities seriously in all our business operations, we're also focused on three areas which we think can have the biggest positive impact: helping to create a healthy environment; encouraging participation in sport; and bringing more of the arts to more people.’ Read the full report at www.thebiggerpicturereview2009.com
